Loukas Letter May 2014

In the past two months we visited Northern Ireland, London, Belgium and Poland.
– By invitation of M.E.T. in N. Ireland we could present the City Bible project in local assemblies together with our Greek friends Yiannis & Alice Rizopoulos who presented their “Hellenic Bank of Christian Love” project. It resulted in new contacts and special meetings.
– Back at the airport in Amsterdam we traveled by car straight back to London . Jeff Swank and Jan de Haan accompanied us to Bridge Lane Church of Tony Pierce in the middle of the Jewish district of North London. The next day we met Stuart Cohen and the London City Mission, where we helped with the outreach during the London Marathon .
– At the end of April there was the conference of Jesus.net in Poland . Jan van Capelleveen participated as a board mem- ber of the Loukas Foundation. It was a very special time where we became involved in Internet evangelism. After positive experiences in Poland, the City Bible concept can have a role in this kind of evangelism. At least 17 countries are interested and we will develop over the next time for each country a City Bible (called Global Bible) for every web- site. God provided again in the first funds for this project.
– Last week we visited Belgium and presented the first copy of the City Bible Roeselare to the mayor of Roeselare. Furthermore, it was also a historic moment when the Pente- costal Church of Roeselare pulled up at the protestant VPKB and they discussed a joint outreach project for the first time We see new openings in Belgium where the gospel is much needed read more…
